Live Well in Braunton hosts a range fo events and support activities in the vilage

Two ‘souper’ community events have been organised by Live Well in Braunton to get the autumn off to a flying start.

The group is a community resource which aims to organise events and initiatives to help people in the village and surrounds live happier and healthier lives.

The first autumn event is Community Soup at the Braunton and Communities Forum on Thursday, October 19 in the Vivian Moon centre from 7pm onwards.

This is a way of promoting, raising funds, and celebrating great ideas to build a better community in Braunton. People are invited to enjoy a hot bowl of soup, some entertainment and help a local community idea blossom.

A suggested £5 donation gets you soup, bread, some entertainment, and a vote. At each Braunton SOUP dinner you will hear presentations from community members on projects ranging from the arts, environment, young people, social action, education, technology and more.

Audience members can ask each presenter up to four questions after their presentation. Then the audience is encouraged to discuss and debate before voting on the project they think benefits the community the most.

Whichever one gets the most votes wins all the money collected at the door. The money will be used to bring the project to life and the presenter will be invited back to a future event to share their progress.

To ensure there is soup for everyone, please email support@livewellinbraunton.co.uk to confirm attendance.
