Wollens has been ranked in the prestigious Legal 500 directory
Barnstaple-based law firm Wollens has been ranked highly in an official industry directory.
The company is delighted to have secured a number of rankings within the prestigious Legal 500 directory 2024 edition.
The Legal 500 is the leading guide to law firms and solicitors in the UK. The rankings reflect the result of months of extensive analysis by the research team, who conduct thousands of interviews with private practice lawyers and read through tens of thousands of submissions to select the very best lawyers and law firms in the UK.
As part of the research, the Legal 500 team canvassed the views of more than 40,000 clients. Every firm ranked – and lawyer mentioned – in the UK Legal 500 UK Solicitors guide is ‘recommended’.
Wollens has been successful in achieving recognition in seven practice areas within the annual publication. These are: corporate and commercial, licensing, private client (personal tax and probate), employment, commercial property, family and clinical negligence.
A dozen of Wollens' lawyers have also been recognised as 'Recommended Lawyer' by the researchers.
Wollens said inclusion in the annual publication, which assesses the strengths of law firms across the UK and globally, shows its team’s hard work over the last 12 months and the quality of the services it provides.
Wollens is one of the largest independent law firms in the region, with nearly 200 people across three offices in Barnstaple, Torquay and Exeter.
Chris Hart, Wollens chief executive, said: “We are exceptionally proud that seven of our practice areas have been recognised and included within the 2024 rankings.
“Additionally, we are delighted that 12 of our team members have been acknowledged as ‘Recommended Lawyers’.
“We aim to build on our success for future years and will continue to seek valuable feedback from our clients and peers. The recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our lawyers and the support staff within our legal teams.”
