A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of welcoming one of our recent Hospice Lottery winners to the hospice to present him with a £1,000 cheque after he’d won the jackpot prize – he was delighted! When chatting to him later over a hot cuppa in our Terrace Café, this gentleman explained how he’d started playing our lottery after being blown away by the care and support his wife and family had received from the hospice during her final days.

For him, becoming a Hospice Lottery member was a way to give back and help other families facing the impacts of a life-limiting illness to experience the love and support that he did at such a difficult time.
