COUNCILLORS, communities and schoolchildren will be rolling up their sleeves next week for a better, brighter Barnstaple. Mayor Jeremy Philips will officially kick-start an initiative to tackle eight projects in six days when he launches the town council

COUNCILLORS, communities and schoolchildren will be rolling up their sleeves next week for a better, brighter Barnstaple.Mayor Jeremy Philips will officially kick-start an initiative to tackle eight projects in six days when he launches the town council environment committee's week-long "Tidy Up Our Town" event at the Guildhall on Monday at 10am.Areas of the town set for a tidy up include the Sunnybank, Higher Raleigh and Bryant's Field allotments, Fort Street, Pilton Community College, Yeo Valley, Newport, and the Taw River bank.
