Volunteers needed to help with a dog poo awareness day in the town on Friday, June 14.

VOLUNTEERS are being asked to help out with a dog’s mess awareness day in Ilfracombe this Friday (June 14).

The town council, police and dog warden will be giving out advisory leaflets and dog poo bags in problem areas around the town, urging dog owners to be responsible and ‘bag it and bin it’.

It is being timed to coincide with the national Dogs Trust campaign The Big Scoop and organisers of the Ilfracombe event are keen to find a few volunteers who can help out on the day.

All involved will meet in front of the TIC at the Landmark at 10am on Friday and again at 2pm. Just turn up, or for more information or to volunteer call Anne Thomas on 01271 863211.
