There could be flooding and lightning across North Devon tonight (Tuesday) and tomorrow. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the region running from 9pm today until 6pm tomorrow. A chief forecaster said: Outbreaks of rain, persistent and heavy at times, are expected to spread east across southern England overnight and Wednesday morning. Many parts of the warning area have already seen large rainfall accumulations over the past few days and therefore this further rain may cause come minor local surface water flooding. Lightning may be an additional hazard. Rainfall of up to 40mm is likely in some areas, with 50-60mm expected in some places.
