A band of heavy and thundery rain is expected to hit North Devon tomorrow (Thursday). The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain running from 1am tomorrow (Thursday) until 11.50pm on Friday. A chief forecaster said local areas of heavy and thundery rain would develop during tomorrow with up to 20-30mm of rainfall in short spaces of time. The forecaster added: Locally in excess of 50 mm is possible in just a few hours. The development of this system is relatively complex therefore the exact locations of the heaviest rainfall remain uncertain. On Friday there is a risk of thunder as low pressure pushes towards the north.
