ENJOY a great night at the races in Abbotsham on Saturday, March 7 and help raise money for the North Devon Hospice at the same time.The Thatched Inn will be buzzing from 7.15pm as competitors get "under starters orders" and punters prepare to scream on their favourites.Following the racing there will be a packed auction of goods and promises, with all the lots generously donated by local companies.The evening has been organised by Neil Bright, who is running the Flora London marathon for the hospice this April and aims to raise a minimum of £5,000 through fund raising.Neil lost his mother to pancreatic cancer last summer and is immensely grateful to the help and support given to her and the family by North Devon Hospice.Light as well as liquid refreshment will be served at next Saturday's Race Night in the Thatch.
