The North Devon Chemo Appeal needs your purple-powered ideas as the popular fundraising day returns on Friday, July 11.

PURPLE Day is back on Friday, July 11 with people and businesses being encouraged to go purple potty to support the Chemotherapy Appeal.

Fundraiser Julie Whitton called on as many people as possible to have a moment of mauve madness and come up with a creative plum idea to raise money: “This day is a great opportunity to fundraise for the appeal in any way that you want to – it could be selling purple cakes, wearing purple clothing or doing something completely different.

“The whole day is about having fun and raising funds to enable our cancer patients to have a fantastic treatment facility at North Devon District Hospital.

“The fundraising team has lots of resources to help our supporters raise the profile of their event such as balloons and t-shirts which can be collected from the hospital.”

Last year North Devon Council, local schools, the Big Sheep, Parkside Garage, hospital staff and many more took part.
