The question of dogs on Instow Beach is back on the agenda next week. Instow Parish Council is discussing the contentious issue on Thursday, October 15 but chairman Councillor Brian Moores said it was merely a review. After uproar from dog lovers in 2013 when the debate last erupted, the council said it had never planned to impose any restrictions. Last time we decided we would not restrict any areas but would put up signs saying when the beach was busy to keeps dogs on leads and we want to review it to see if that is working, said Mr Moores. Joanne Bell of the Dog walkers Alliance said she was happy with Mr Moores response and would be attending the meeting, but warned against any attempts to restrict dog walkers, saying the group would come back very strongly this time if such a move were made. The council meeting is at 7.30pm in Instow Parish Hall and is open to the public.
