Hartland is gearing up for its annual carnival on Saturday.

The Grand Procession leads off at 7pm, with free parking around the town.

Floats assemble at 5pm and are judged between 6-7pm before making two circuits of the village.

Hartland’s carnival queen is Abigail Toase, who will be attended by Lola Lincoln and Megan Pillman.

The fairy queen is Daisy Lane, attended by Gracie Dennis.

Revels will be King Oliver Hampton and Billie Porter, attended by Erin Cornish and Daisy Williams.

Pre-school prince is Henry Tucker pre-school princess Jasmine Bond.

During the week a number of events take place including a Family Fun Night tonight (Wednesday) 6-9pm, held on the recreation ground with food, games, displays and more.

On Saturday there will be fairground rides, face painting, food and stalls from 4.30-7pm, and from 9pm to midnight there will be free late entertainment including Hartland Town Band, Samba Bands, a disco and more food.
