The rain may have poured down on Hartland Carnival, but this year’s event certainly wasn’t a washout.
Nineteen walking entries and 15 floats turned out despite the showers to enjoy the annual procession.
There were also three animal entries, six marching groups and royalty from other carnivals in the area.
Hartland Carnival queen Abigail Toase led the procession with attendants Lola Lincoln and Megan Pillman.
The fairy queen was Daisy Lane, attended by Gracie Dennis.
Revels king was Oliver Hampton and revels queen was Billie Porter, attended by Erin Cornish and Daisy Williams
The pre-school prince was Harry Tucker and princess was Jasmine Bond.
Hartland Carnival committee secretary Julia Bole said: “The standard of entries in Hartland Carnival was magnificently high, as always.
“All our judges, including visitors from far and wide, did a sterling job in spite of the deluge, which made things extremely difficult for them.
“Hopps, Chapple and Yolanda from the Voice helped with judging for the Walkers this year, so thanks to them for coming.
“In addition, we provided attractions in the square, including fairground rides, food and other stalls, with free entertainment and displays including Hartland Town Band and Samba Bands.”
