Hartland Carnival was a resounding success on Saturday, as the colourful procession wound its way through the streets. The main parade was the culmination of a week of carnival-inspired events. Entries included many a recognisable face, from Spongebob Squarepants to Donald Trump. Bumble bees, scarecrows, pirates, Buzz Lightyear, and even Batman also joined the parade. The procession took place from 7-9pm, with free parking and entertainment until midnight. Floats assembled between 5pm and 5.45pm, with judging between 6-7pm. There was also a party in the Square, with fairground rides and a photobooth from 4.30pm. Food stalls were running from 7pm-midnight and there was entertainment for all.
