Police were called to Ilfracombe harbour at around 1.45am on Sunday 27 July 2008 after a man reported people aboard his boat, causing damage.The owner went to check on the boat, a small yacht, and found a man lying inside. The owner asked the man to leave but he refused.Police officers, with the assistance of the RNLI inshore lifeboat at Ilfracombe, boarded another boat floating in the harbour in order to arrest a man on suspicion of criminal damage to the boat.Police attended and arrested two men without incident.The boat suffered damage to the electrical cabling system.Two men were arrested, one, a 62-year-old man from Swansea was released without charge and the other, a 26-year-old from Swansea was released on police bail until September, 8.
