DEVON County Council, Western Power and British Telecom are working together to co-ordinate works in Calf Street in Great Torrington during the school half term later this month.
The road will be closed for nine days from Saturday, October 24 until Sunday, November 1.
The closure will enable Western Power to carry out planned improvement work to the electricity system in Calf Street by moving the existing overhead supply, underground. British Telecom will also remove two poles and install an underground cable. Once these works have been completed, Devon County Council will resurface the road.
Two diversion routes will be in place with a diversion for light vehicles signed via East Street and Well Street. A diversion for larger vehicles will be in place via the A386 to Bideford, the North Devon Link Road and the B3232 back to Great Torrington.
