A winter wonderland awaits at Green Lanes Shopping Centre in Barnstaple with live music, children’s entertainment and a chance to meet Father Christmas.

Santa's Grotto opened on Sunday and he will be there with his elves until Christmas Eve.

There will also be entertainment for both young and old, with music in the Town Square Stage, right in the heart of the shopping centre.

Tamsin Ball will be singing 11am-1pm on Saturday, December 8; Bicycle Repair Man will be there on December 15 (11am-1pm); and Teachers Rock Choir will be entertaining shoppers on Saturday, December 22 (11am-1pm).

There will be music during late night shopping evenings on Thursdays, and the Salvation Army Band will be playing Christmas favourites on Christmas Eve.

Family entertainers will be bringing festive fun throughout December too, from festive stilt-walkers to magical movie characters.

Craig Bulley, Green Lanes Shopping Centre Manager, said: "Christmas is a magical time at Green Lanes Shopping Centre, and we want to ensure we provide a festive time for everyone, whether they're picking up a party outfit, choosing their decorations, or ticking off their Christmas gift list.

"Father Christmas will be in his grotto ready to meet all our younger visitors, and we have a fantastic line-up of music and entertainment for everyone.

"From stilt-walkers and a magician, to Mickey and Minnie Mouse and even roller-skating Christmas presents, we've gone all out to make Christmas fun for everyone this year."
