A bid to ensure Ilfracombe gets its slice of a £45 million regeneration pie being baked by the Government was getting under way yesterday (Tuesday) at a meeting in the town.Councillors, and others gathered at the Wheel Room to look at potential schemes they could use to attract some of the "culture and arts" cash which is up for grabs.Ilfracombe Community Interest Company (part of the Alliance) the district and town councils are working in partnership on the project."It's £45 million over three years for deprived coastal towns and their regeneration projects," said district Councillor Paul Yabsley."We'll have a go at it, because we'd be foolish not to!"The sea front and the old Pavilion site seems to be a popular location to receive any grant cash, but that and what it might be spent on was to be provisionally decided at the meeting.
