Fire crews are fighting a blaze in a grain dryer on a farm near Buckland Brewer. It started last night (Wednesday) and the incident is still ongoing.
Three appliances, from Torrington, Bideford and Holsworthy, plus the water bowser from Barnstaple were mobilised initially.
Crews worked throughout the night in difficult and cramped conditions, emptying four tonnes of grain in the dryer by mechanical means.
Several tonnes of grain in a hopper above the dryer were not involved.

At around 1.30 this morning, two relief crews were sent out from Hatherleigh and Hartland and a third relief crew, from Appledore, arrived at 6am.
