THREE fire crews were in action on Thursdays after a gorse fire at Holdstone Down near Combe Martin.Crews from the village and from Lynton were called out just after 12 noon to deal with the blaze, which was burning on two fronts of around 300 metres each.Water hoses and beaters were used to put out the fire.AN overturned car at Bittadon on the road between Muddiford and Ilfracombe was dealt with by fire fighters from the town on Thursday.The crew made the vehicle safe and no injuries have been reported.
