WALKERS are being urged to bring their four-legged friends along for a charity coastal walk taking place next week.Hundreds of families, friends - and dog owners - are expected to take part in the BIG South West Walk in aid of the Children's Hospice South West on Saturday, June 13.They will be able to choose from one of 77 different routes along the 630 miles of the South West Coastal Path from Minehead to Poole.Local routes range from a three-mile walk from Ilfracombe to Lee Bay, to a more challenging 14-mile stretch from Lynmouth to Combe Martin. There are plenty more to choose from, including an 11-mile walk from Westward Ho! to Clovelly."Taking your four legged friend for a good walk helps keep you both happy and healthy," said Emma Puckey, head of fund-raising at Little Bridge House, Fremington. "Setting off together for a BIG South West Walk is also a great way to help a local children's charity."Here in the South West we are lucky enough to have some of the most beautiful coastline in the UK.
