CELEBRITY chef Gino D'Acampo has been in North Devon to film a paella-making and clotted cream tasting sequence for ITV's This Morning show.

At North Morte Farm Caravan and Camping Park in Mortehoe the winner of last year's I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here spent the day making a paella for almost 100 people for his Gino's Campsite Cookout feature on This Morning. He used ingredients supplied by Mortehoe Shellfish.

"The campers really enjoyed it; he had the kids running around fetching ingredients and helping with cooking," said Judith Gilbert, one of the North Morte partners.

"It was nice to see and the sun was shining, so you can't really get better than that."

The Ready Steady Cook regular also visited Church Farm Dairy owned by Lin and Steve Houlford at Bittadon, where he toured the farm, watched clotted cream being made from the milk supplied by the farm dairy herd and, of course, sampled some himself.

"ITV called out of the blue and asked if they could bring Gino along to see the dairy," said Lin.

"He stayed for a good couple of hours, toured the dairy and met some of the cows!

"He was a very nice guy and was very interested in everything that was going on."

The Houlfords have been making cream at the farm for almost five years.

They built a new farm from scratch 20 years ago to continue the tradition of the Houlford family farming on the land there.
