A BARNSTAPLE community is busy making plans for what will be its first ever fancy dress lantern parade.Frankmarsh and Gorwell will be shining brightly on Friday, January 25, thanks to an initiative being spearheaded by the area's police beat team.Beat Manager PC Anna Fielding and Police Community Support Officers Matt Reed and Steve Huxtable will be coordinating the band-led parade which will leave Gorwell Park at 5pm."The parade will lead through Gorwell and Frankmarsh, ending at Yeo Valley School for refreshments and judging of the lanterns and fancy dress," PCSO Matt Reed told the Gazette."Prizes will be awarded to the most imaginative costume and lantern."Lanterns can be illuminated by any means, so long as they glow!
