THE Victorian art of rag rugging is to be resurrected in a series of weekly craft sessions at Ilfracombe Museum, starting on Thursday, September 9.
Every Thursday participants will get to continue helping to make a new rag rug for the museum's Victorian Kitchen during informal afternoon sessions from 2-4pm under the guidance of instructor Liz Howard.
Rag rugging was a popular Victorian "Make do and mend" pastime of creating new floor coverings from rags and scraps of cloth.
