Local seafood will take top billing at a brand new festival being held in Barnstaple Pannier Market on Sunday.More than 20 of North Devons finest producers will be showcasing a range of seafood-inspired dishes at the free event from 10.30am to 3pm. From fish burgers to seafood crepes, Torridge oysters and seaweed sausages, the festival, organised by North Devon Hospice, is sure to offer something for even the most discerning fish fan. Visitors will be able to watch live cooking demonstrations by some of North Devons top chefs, including Michelin-starred Mark Dodson of the Masons Arms, and Geoff Morton of Fat Belly Freds in Barnstaple, who has spent more than three years turning his idea for a seafood festival into a reality. Geoff said: It should be a great day out a great chance to try some of the fantastic diverse produce we have on our doorstep.There will also be a last chance to buy tickets for the hospices North Devon Eating Out Experience raffle, which is being drawn at 2.30pm.
