GENERATIONS joined forces for a 15-mile fund-raising walk along the Tarka Trail in aid of Age Concern.
After an early start, Age Concern trustees Geoff Goldsworthy, Keith Luckhurst, David Hillman, David Squires, Elliott Tannoh and Geoff’s granddaughter Selina Passmore - plus George the dog - set off from Torrington to walk the trail to the Age Concern office in Litchdon Street, Barnstaple.
George put his best paws forward and has raised £50 for the cause. The others are still counting.
Dave Squires, who is a team leader for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, came down off the mountain to support the vital work of the Age Concern volunteers,
The team were representing Inter Generational Support, raising money to help sustain the voluntary organisation to continue supporting older people in the local community.
The Barnstaple office of Age Concern has 70 volunteers, who provide more than 300 hours service each week to 220 elderly people.
