THE popular Combe Martin Open Gardens Weekend needs a little help from gardeners in the village this year if it is to grow to its usual size.

The late spring, cold and endless rain may have banished thoughts of gardening from the mind, but organisers are anxious to hear from anyone in the village willing to show off their garden to visitors over the weekend of June 26 and 27.

All types of garden are very welcome and all proceeds from the event go to St Peter Ad Vincula Parish Church. To find out more or sign your garden up for the event, call Janet Taylor on (01271) 882244 or Pam Irwin on 883469.
