Fire crews were called out early on Sunday morning
Fire crews from Barnstaple and Braunton were called out to Prixford early on Sunday morning in response to a garage fire.
Three fire appliances were initially sent to the call just after 5am.
On arrival crews requested for Western Power to attend in order to isolate the garage’s electrics before requesting a compressed air foam system from Woolacombe.
By 5.52am the fire had spread to a chalet bungalow, at which point crews requested two more appliances from Bideford and Ilfracombe and a command unit from Wiveliscombe.
The fire was confirmed extinguished at 11.30 after crews used three hose reel jets, breathing apparatus and thermal imaging cameras.
The garage was completely destroyed by the fire, which was confirmed to be accidental.
