Dozens of people turned out to walk, cycle and run along to Tarka Trail in support of terminally-ill cancer nurse Laura Harris today (Friday).
Friends, colleagues, and even those who had never met Laura met at Fremington Quay this afternoon for the event.
It was organised by Laura’s friend and colleague, Hannah Sunderland, who wanted to raise awareness of the appeal to fund a new treatment for Laura.
Hannah said: “It’s really nice to see that so many people turned up, even a lot of people I don’t recognise.
“Laura’s looked after so many people and she’s a beautiful person inside and out.
“She’s got a family and she just wants more time with them - anything we can do to support her is what we want to do.”
The group assembled at Fremington Quay at around 1pm and continued their journey along the Tarka Trail together.
Any sponsorship raised will go towards a treatment which may give Laura more time.
So far, her appeal has raised more than £90,000 which could potentially give her up to two years of treatment.
