WEST Quay Fund-raisers of Appledore are preparing for their third charity event of the year - a fun day on Easter Monday. It will build on the success of their New Year's Day Dip, which raised £1,000, and their Old Tyme Musical Hall entertainment, which will add nearly £700 for local causes. The staff and customers from the two West Quay pubs in Irsha Street are starting the fun at 12 noon, when West Quay will come alive with charity stalls, a craft area for children, raffles and guessing games. A dog show takes to the beach at 1pm and always attracts a good entry. Pedigrees are not necessary, but a sense of humour helps.Children and adults can also parade their Easter bonnets and sponsor an entry in the duck race, which starts at 5pm.A spokesperson said: " You'll love this years' tombola - it's all chocolate.
