DON'T MISS evolution-inspired fun at the Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe tomorrow (Saturday) at the Darwin in Devon event.Investigate the seashore with artist Peter Stiles and make your own art using the Cyanotype process. This is a type of photographic printing producing cyan-blue prints using ultraviolet light. These free sessions start at 11am and 2pm.Creative Creatures: Drop-in between 11am-4pm and evolve your own creature using shell craft or and explore and draw with the marvellous marine specimens from the collection of the Museum of Barnstaple & North Devon.The events are being organised as part of the New Expressions project, Vivarium, in which Peter Stiles is creating new work based on North Devon's natural history. The resulting work will be shown at the Vivarium Exhibition in the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon from March 14 to April 25.These are the first activities in connection with Darwin in Devon, celebrating 200 years since the birth of Charles Darwin and 150 years since he published On the Origin of Species. More activities will be taking place throughout the year.* ILFRACOMBE Museum is running a second hand book sale from 11am-1pm tomorrow (Saturday,) with a wide variety of fiction, non-fiction and reference books on offer. The museum itself will be open free and tea and coffee will be available.
