A comedy drama by pupils from Forches Cross Primary School will be hitting the Barnstaple stage from tomorrow (Thursday) evening. As part of the North Devon Festival, the young actors will be performing a new play called Midsummer Margaret for the Barnstaple Fringe. With links to the original A Midsummer Nights Dream and ska-based music, the pupils' work is a humorous anarchic affair about pre-teenage relationships and has been produced by Judy Walters and Paul Wisken. There are three shows at The Factory in Roundswell - 6.30pm tomorrow, 12noon on Saturday and 1.15pm on Sunday. The play was written, learned and produced in the past month and it follows Mr Margaret, who during the week works at Barnstaple Library under the supervision of Conan, the Librarian, who also happens to be Queen of the Fairies. At weekends it is a different story and his intentions to do good can go astray, resulting in midsummer magical mischief.Tickets are available from the box office on (01271) 324242 or on the door.
