A charity that organises holiday play schemes for children with special needs in Bideford and Holsworthy has been presented with a welcome donation by Bideford Conservative Club.Torridge Special Friends was delighted to accept the £600, which also happens to be the largest single sum it has ever received. The sessions the charity provides are Ofsted-registered and give quality play opportunities for youngsters aged from five to 18.It relies entirely on grants and donations, having been set up more than a decade ago by local parents with special needs children.Together they decided to form a charity to provide play schemes locally so their children could enjoy friendship and activities like their brothers and sisters during school holidays.Anyone who would like more information about the work of TSF can contact Co-ordinator Richard Forrester on (01237) 422988.
