TWINNERS in Fremington are holding a crunch meeting on Wednesday to appeal for new recruits to help keep the association going.

Numbers at Fremington and District Twinning Association have dwindled in recent years for various reasons and the group is keen to find new committee members as well as twinners keen to host visitors from Colombelles in France during a proposed visit from April 15-19.

It is just the opposite on the other side of the channel, where numbers are growing and the French are keen to bring up to 50 along to visit North Devon.

The Fremington group has been going for 26 years and also covers the Roundswell, Bickington and Yelland areas, but all are welcome.
