NORTH Devon Councillors will meet next week to consider freezing their allowances for the next 12 months.Councillors will vote on a notice of motion proposed by Cllr John Matthews that there be no increases in members' allowances for the forthcoming municipal year.Tuesday's full council meeting at the Civic Centre in Barnstaple will be immediately followed by the council's annual meeting, starting at 7.45pmCouncillors will elect members for the various committees, as well as a new chairman and vice-chairman for 2009/10.
