Colorseum in Mill Street, Bideford, has joined the national #FanniesForFacials movement started by a beauty salon in Liverpool. In a bid to raise awareness of cervical cancer, the salon is offering a free 30-minute facial for women who can bring in proof they have booked their smear test. Tess Wills, beauty therapist at Colorseum, said: I read about the idea in our industry magazine and thought it was brilliant. So many women dont go and its just so important. If we can even get one woman to book her smear test through this it will be a success. Colorseum owner Jules Webber said the salon already had some women taking advantage of the offer after posting about it on Facebook. She said: Smear tests are at an all time low which is why we are getting on board with the #fannies4facials campaign. All you have to do to claim is book your appointment and send us proof a text from your doctor, a letter from the clinic, even a selfie with the nurse. The salon offers treatments for people undergoing chemotherapy, and donates vouchers to the ChemoHero boxes.
