Four charged with drink driving in 24 hours

Drivers face court after failing roadside breath tests in Barnstaple.

FOUR people were charged with drink-driving offences during separate incidents in Barnstaple yesterday (Sunday).

Male drivers, aged between 25 and 57, failed roadside breath tests in the Square shortly after midnight; in Boutport Street at 2am; and on the A361 near at the Lake Roundabout at 7.30pm.

A drink driving suspect was arrested in North Walk at 4.30am after failing to provide a sample.

Their cases will be heard at North Devon Magistrates Court at a later date.
