FORMER Woolsery Primary School secretary Jenny Barker has been made an MBE for services to education in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.Jenny retired last year after 25 years in the role, which changed out of all recognition during the time she was there.When she started, it was a matter of collecting dinner money and taking shorthand. At the end she was maintaining the school's computer systems and keeping a close eye on the budget.Sandra McMillan, the manager of Chulmleigh Business and Enterprise Centre, was also made an MBE.Jim French, the chairman of Exeter-based airline Flybe, who lives near Chulmleigh, was awarded the CBE.
