The Custom House in Barnstaple is re-launching its 15 Shades of Bacon burger to celebrate the release of the 50 Shades of Grey film - and it’s all in aid of North Devon Hospice.
From streaky and back bacon to bacon dusted chips, bacon infused cream cheese and even baconaise - that’s right, the 15 Shades of Bacon Burger is back!
The 2,500 calorie feast is re-launching at the Custom House in Barnstaple throughout the whole of February, to mark the launch of the 50 Shades of Grey film on Valentine’s Day.
It also includes prosciutto, bacon crisps, chicken fried bacon, turkey bacon, pancetta, mortadella, bacon burger and sausage pattie.
News of the burger has even gone global, with news reports in LA and New York.
“We first launched it in 2013 when the book was at its peak,” said owner Matt Spencer.
“We thought while the women were reading the book we’d do something for the lads - but it’s proved popular with the girls too.”
The burger will cost £15, with £5 from each sold donated to North Devon Hospice.
Matt said he hoped to re-release the burger for each sequel film, “though we may have to change it up a bit each time.”
