Flying visit to the Emerald Isle

The North Devon branch of the Royal Air Forces Association meets its Irish counterparts.

A flying visit to Ireland has forged links between North Devon and Dublin.

Roy Lucas, chairman of the North Devon branch of the Royal Air Forces Association, was joined by assistant welfare officer Trish Kellie on a visit to meet their Irish counterparts, including Dublin branch president Jim Kelly.

A very convivial evening was had by all, with a number of gifts exchanged and the offer of a return hosting for the Irish in North Devon this year.

The association is a charity that supports serving or former RAF service personnel and their families.
