Flood alerts have been issued for areas of North Devon this evening (Friday).
Flood alerts are in place for Braunton, Barnstaple, Ilfracombe and Combe Martin.
There are also alerts in the Lower River Torridge area and for Exmoor Rivers.
Flooding is possible for the Rivers Caen, Bradiford Water and Yeo and coastal streams from Braunton to Combe Martin.
A spokesman for the Environment Agency said: “We are expecting further intermittent, but potentially heavy rain over the next 12 hours.
“Flooding is possible on low lying land and roads.
“Be prepared for local flooding, and floodplains being affected.
“The Environment Agency will continue to monitor rain (and snow) fall and river levels and we will update this message if the situation changes.
“Our field teams are standing by to make sure that flood defence assets are working effectively.”
