Two fire engines attended a road traffic collision in Holsworthy yesterday (Friday) and had to cut one person free from their vehicle.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was called to Waterloo Road, in Holsworthy, at 4.30pm yesterday (Friday) where there had been a road traffic collision.

Two cars were involved and when firefighters got to the scene one person was trapped inside one of the vehicles.

Crews used cutting equipment to free the person, and they were handed over to the ambulance service.
