Three fire crews raced to the scene in Brushford Mill when reports came in of a fire involving a farm’s workshop.

Fire fighters were called out to a farm in North Devon yesterday (Thursday) due to reports of a fire in an agricultural workshop.

Crews from North Tawton, Chulmleigh and Hatherleigh all raced to the scene at Brushford Mill in Wembworthy shortly after 3pm.

On arrival the first crew found a small fire in the wood wall of the workshop.

Only a small amount of the wall had been damaged and the fire was already out, so the other two crews were sent back to their stations.

Fire fighters used a thermal imaging camera to make sure the scene was safe before leaving the farm.
