Fire fighters rescue young girl trapped in railings

The 12-year-old was said to be extremely distressed when fire fighters arrived at the scene in Barnstaple.

A DISTRESSED 12-year-old girl was rescued by fire fighters yesterday evening (Weds) after her leg became stuck in railings.

Fire fighters from Barnstaple arrived at Raleigh Meadow at around 8.15pm and requested an ambulance as a precaution.

The girl was released uninjured from the metal railings using small tools and fire fighters left her in the care of her parent and paramedics.
