Fire fighters rescue toddler trapped in car

The two-year-old was said to be very distressed after locking herself in the family car.

FIRE fighters were called to the rescue of a two-year-old girl who had locked herself in the family car on Sunday evening.

The girl was extremely distressed after she became trapped in the vehicle which was parked outside a house in North Road, Barnstaple, at around 7.45pm.

Using small tools, the fire crew from Barnstaple managed to release the girl who was checked over by paramedics as a precaution and reunited with her parents.
