Fire fighters deal with bedroom fire

THREE fire engines attended a fire in the early hours of Sunday morning at a house in Weare Giffard.

One crew from Torrington and two from Bideford attended the incident just before 3.30am, which involved a fire in a first floor bedroom.

Two crew members donned breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. It left the first bedroom at the two storey detached property was slightly damaged by fire and the rest of the property slightly damaged by smoke.
