Fire crews tackle large house fire in Holsworthy

Four pumps are currently on scene trying to get the blaze under control.

FOUR fire engines are currently tackling a large house fire in Holsworthy this morning (Tues).

The fire at the detached bungalow was reported at 9.35am.

An elderly couple who live in the house, called Silver Crooks, were not in at the time.

Police have closed Trewyn Road near the turning for Manworthy Hill.

The fire is believed to have started in the garage and spread to an oil tank and then the roof of the detached house.

Crews are currently working to get the blaze under control.
