FIRE crews were called to fight outbreaks in two North Devon towns yesterday (Wednesday).
Two appliances from Chulmleigh and Witheridge were called to a report of a chimney fire at a thatched property in East Street, Chulmleigh, at 4.48pm yesterday (Wednesday).
They used two hose reels, a short extension ladder, chimney gear and a thermal imaging camera to tackle and extinguish the fire.
A fire crew from Torrington was called to a property in the town’s New Street at 6.11pm when fire broke out in an electrical fuse box.
The fire was out on their arrival and the firefighters were only required to make the area safe.
