FIRE erupted amongst the dunes at Saunton Sands beach this afternoon (Friday.) The fire service received 16 calls about the blaze, which it said covered an area amongst the sand dunes of approximately 20 square feet. The alarm was raised at about 2.25pm a
FIRE erupted amongst the dunes at Saunton Sands beach this afternoon (Friday.)
The fire service received 16 calls about the blaze, which it said covered an area amongst the sand dunes of approximately 20 square feet.
The alarm was raised at about 2.25pm and a fire crew from Braunton was soon at the scene. Fire fighters used beaters to put out the flames.
There is no indication as yet to what caused it.
