VW owners have presented a fund-raising cheque to the Children's Hospice South West.Members of the North Devon VW Club drove their iconic vehicles in convoy to Little Bridge House in Fremington to hand over the 2,185 raised at October's annual "Final Fling" festival, held in Woolacombe. The festival - only the second ever in North Devon - has already become a firmly established favourite on VW owners' touring maps."We often travel together to VW festivals all over the UK and decided it was time we had our own festival here in North Devon," said club member Beth Simons."We decided we didn't want to organise a festival as a money making venture as we wanted to keep it small and not too commercial. We decided that if we made any profit it should go to a local charity, and after a discussion within the group we chose Children's Hospice South West.
