Popular wildlife ramble returns on September 27 to raise money for local charities

Exmoor and wildlife enthusiast Ivan Huxtable is holding another of his hugely popular charity walks this September.

The scenic 10-mile sponsored walk takes place on Saturday, September 27 for hospital charity Over and Above, to raise money for the Cardiology Unit and for North Devon Hospice

It begins at 10.30am and will take in the magnificent views over the moors at West and East Anstey Commons.

It is also being held on Ivan's birthday but the charity walker appears happiest giving to others and has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for local charities.

Over and Above fundraiser Julie Whitton said: "Ivan has so much knowledge about the moor.

"The views on his walks are always amazing and we expect our participants to see so much wildlife including red deer, Exmoor ponies, birds of prey and so much more.

"Without doubt it will be a wonderful day with so much to see, and definitely a trail that our walkers will remember."

Entry is free, but walkers are asked to raise sponsorship. To register and get a sponsor form go to http://overandabove.org.uk/events/exmoor-ramble/ or call 01271 311772, email ndht.charity@nhs.net or contact Ivan Huxtable direct on 01769 540835.
